The Taste of Gloucestershire Food and Farming Awards.
On September 21st, members of staff from the shop travelled up to Cheltenham Racecourse to attend the 1st Taste of Gloucestershire Food and Farming Awards. A great evening was had tasting local foods and enjoying the company of other local producers with the same passion for their product as us.
We were very proud to finalists in the Best Local food Retailer section, a great acknowledgement to our staff for their hard work in promoting our home produced meats and products, their commitment to selling good local food to people who wish to learn about it |

THE GREAT BRITISH FOOD REVIVAL

Horton Apple Day
Saturday 23rd October - Horton Village Hall
Everything that is great about apple and English Orchards
Tortworth Estate Shop will be holding a stall with over 25 apple pressed apple varieties and many other apple products.
There will be experts at hand to identify your apple and give advice on pruning and orchard managment.
There are competitions for all ages and funds will be raised for charity.

- Berkeley Show
Come and visit our shop stand at Berkeley agricultural show next year in the meadows below Berkeley Castle. We will have a large selection of products on sale.
This year in 2010 we won a cup for most attractive trade stand and had a successful day in beautiful weather.

BANGER BONANZA

Come along and join us for Bangers, Mash and Onion Gravy.
Tickets are just £3 per person

We will be serving between 12 noon and 6pm and tickets are required to claim the Banger, Mash and Onion gravy.
Sausage Making Demonstrations
We will be holding demonstrations on how to make sausages which, you can get involved with!
Demo's will run from 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, & 6pm
Catering for small groups of upto 10 people at a time.
Tickets are £10 per person to include:
1kg of YOUR Handmade Sausages and Bangers, Mash and Onion Gravy.

Saturday 17th July - Strawberry Fayre
Come along to the farm shop between 11am and 3pm, and in 'The Paddock', we will have free tasters and recipes suggestions available for you to try.
We will be holding a 'Strawberry Jam' (open to all ages) and 'Create a Strawberry Recipe' (16 and under) competition so, bring your entries along on the day.
We will also be serving 'Cream teas' and coffee with Wendy's homemade scones and, holding a 'Raffle Prize Draw' along with, 'Vegetable Animal' (10 and under) and 'Decorated Paper Plate' (5 and under) competitions, for our younger visitors.

Visit our cheese stall at the Thornbury Carnival. Last year was a gorgeous hot day with lots of activities, entertainment and local foods at the carnival including the main parade on Thornbury high street. This year the Thornbury Carnival is even bigger!
