We are a
popular farm shop and café producing high standards of food using home grown
fresh local produce.
We have an
exciting opportunity for a new Chef to come fully on board and take ownership
of our popular café managing a small team of kitchen assistants to deliver a
great customer experience.
Daily preparation and organisation for the main
menu, specials to an excellent standard.
Ensure all customer requirements and management
responsibilities are delivered in-line with the company policy.
Developing, creating and costing a range of
seasonal dishes and menus.
Budgetary management, financial planning and
Lead, motivate and develop a small team of
kitchen staff to ensure a smooth running of the kitchen.
Maintaining the highest standards of
cleanliness, record keeping and statuary requirements.
Regular management meetings.
Help support the Manager in delivering high
standards of food quality and service.
Have a genuine passion for fresh British produce
and quality service.
Have the drive and
enthusiasm to take on this position and have a passion for cooking fresh dishes
and bringing new ideas to the table.
Have proven leadership & communication
skills to able to manage their own small team.
Be friendly and positive.
Be Self motivated and able to work in a busy
Be well organised and have the ability to work
off their own initiative.
Have a good understanding of cost control
measures and their relationship to financial targets.
Hold an Intermediate food hygiene certificate (Advanced level desirable)

Regular monthly salary (negotiable depending on experience)

We are a award winning, local family run farm shop in Gloucestershire which started trading in September, 2003, in 2012 we opened our cafe The Farmers Table. Just off Junction 14 of M5 between Bristol and Gloucester.
We are passionate about food and farming and to ensure that we sell the highest quality produce we select each product personally. We love what we do and like to pass on our knowledge and information to you making sure you leave with a smile.
